“You were only waiting for this moment to arise”

I’m pretty sure The Beatles were talking about waiting for the first Blackbird Summer Market in their song Blackbird. They were pretty clever and I think they could have predicted this event decades before it was conceived. So we’ve waited, oh golly-gee how we’ve waited, but pretty soon we’ll be waiting no longer. The Blackbird Summer Market debuts at the Newtown Workers Club this Saturday.
Get to the corner of Bruswick and Gertrude streets Fitzroy between 11 and 4 to catch bands Skye Harbour, Love Connection, Maudita and check out the photobooth art project. You can also buy heaps of totally sweet stuff sold by cool and good looking people. My plan is to eat, drink beer and meet my future girlfriend. Should be a killer Saturday.
