LTRHDS 2010

Published on February 24, 2010

The newest hip hot spot by the  infamous Melbourne coffee house St Jerome’s crew 1000 £ Bend  will play host to the 26 international and Australian artists that make up the LTRHDS (Letterheads for the phonetically challenged) exhibition this year, creating a collection that explores the influence of the ubiquitous letterform in all aspects of contemporary art.

Assigning an artist to each letter of the English alphabet and using an extreme collection of respected artists (Graeme Base – the legendary ‘Animalia’ illustrator is doing A)  and emerging artists, representing the fields of illustration, cartooning, fine art, graffiti, street art and graphic design from around the globe –  including renowned streets artists such as 3143301Craig (KR) Costello, Anthony Lister, Mark Bode (NY) and Usugrow (Japan) lends a lot of weight to this massive exhibition.

LTRHDS kicks off in Melbourne this Friday night (26 Feb) until the 19th of March and moves to Sydney at the end of April.
