WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER

We’ve decided on the winner for ‘DESIGN A SINGLE COVER: BON IVER’S CALGARY’. Okay, so the likelihood of us sending out an actual chicken dinner is not great, it’s probably against Food and Safety standards, only slightly. I mean, we could always hand deliver the chicken, but the winner lives overseas and the taxman probably isn’t going to deem such a trip as a necessary ‘business expense’. So, instead we’re just going to send the talented LOUISE NORMAN a bunch of SPOOKY treats, including a copy of our latest issue, as she designed a lovely single cover for Bon Iver’s ‘Calgary’, and this is what she had to say about it:

My design is the couple from the video intertwined and duplicated, and then making a kind of heart with a map of calgary on one side and branches on the other like seen in the video. In the video they come together and I thought this idea illustrated it as well as it being a bit quirky with the heads making up the other heads. I used my own illustrations and hand drawn type in Photoshop elements.
